Atlavo Parking is a map that colours car parks and parking spaces according to what they cost. Not a list of results, not a search engine: a map you understand in under two seconds, anywhere in the world.
Every state also carries a pattern and a symbol, never colour alone: the map stays readable in greyscale and for colour-blind users.
It does not tell you whether a space is free right now: that information does not exist in open data, and inventing it would be lying. It does not show hourly prices either, because fewer than one in a thousand car parks in the world carries one.
Grey is not a rendering glitch, it is information: it means the data is missing. It is also what one tap in the app can fix.
Data comes from OpenStreetMap and its contributors, under the ODbL licence. Factual corrections made by users are meant to go back to OpenStreetMap: what comes from the commons returns to it.
Attribution and give-back page
The app locates you on your phone to centre the map. That position is never sent to our servers, and no account is needed to look at the map.
The honest caveat: like any online map, the app downloads the tiles for the area you are looking at. Whoever hosts those tiles therefore sees which area is requested. That is inherent to displaying a map, which is why the sentence above is about our data servers and not about the whole world.
Atlavo Parking is under development. The iOS app is in private testing today, it is not yet published on the App Store, and the Android version does not exist yet. There is therefore nothing to download on this page, and no date is being announced.

Atlavo is a personal project, run by one person. A contact address on this domain is being set up, and it will be published here once it actually receives mail. Announcing an address that does not answer would help nobody.
