Acceptance

By installing or using the app, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

What the service does

The app displays car parks taken from OpenStreetMap, coloured according to what the data says about their cost: free, paid, blue zone, or unknown when the data is missing.

No space is reserved, no availability is promised and no price is guaranteed. The data comes from a collaborative database, it can be incomplete or out of date, and the app says so on screen when that is the case. A suggestion remains a suggestion. Always check the signs on site, which alone are authoritative.

The service is provided as is. It may be interrupted, for maintenance among other reasons, and its content may change.

Your account

Browsing the map requires no account. An account is necessary to contribute a fact or to attach a subscription. You are responsible for access to your mailbox and to the sign-in accounts you use. You can delete your account at any time from the app.

A pseudonym is optional, visible to you, and to our team if it must step into your account, and can be changed at most once every thirty days. We may reset it if it breaches these terms.

Subscription

Some features are reserved for subscribers. Two plans are offered, one monthly and one yearly. The price that applies where you are is shown before payment. We may also gift this access for a limited time: it asks for no payment, does not renew, and ends by itself on the date shown.

• The purchase happens either in your phone's store or on this site. The seller is not the same in both cases, and the terms of sale say which. We receive neither your card number nor your bank details.
• For a purchase made in the store on your phone, the renewal is managed by that store, whichever plan you chose, and cancellation happens in its settings. For a purchase made on this site, the annual subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, unless cancelled, and the monthly subscription is entered into for an indefinite term, with no renewal at all, and can be cancelled at any time.
• Cancellation happens where you subscribed: in your store's settings for a purchase made in the app, online from your account for a purchase made on this site. The terms of sale give the detail.
• Refunds are governed by the terms of the store that took the payment. For a purchase made on this site, they are governed by the terms of sale.
• When a subscription ends, the reserved features close again and the app tells you so. The map itself stays fully usable: the free tier is never degraded.

Your contributions

When you declare that a car park is free, paid or a blue zone, you are describing an observable fact. You must declare what you saw, and nothing else.

By contributing, you agree that this fact may be published, redistributed and contributed back to OpenStreetMap under the ODbL 1.0 licence. That is what lets us give back to the collaborative database what it gives us.

Do not submit any personal data, any free text, any photo: the app does not ask for any and does not accept any.

A plainly false or abusive contribution may be set aside. When two people contradict each other, the app says so rather than deciding silently.

Your ratings

You can rate a car park from one to five stars and pick up to three tags from a closed list. What other people see is an average, a number of ratings and a count per tag. Your identity is never shown.

There is no free-text field, neither on this screen nor anywhere else in the app. That is a deliberate choice: a closed list can be translated, compared, and every sentence in it is written by us, measured, and limited to what a driver felt on the spot.

Ratings are not checked before publication. After publication, a rating reported by at least two different accounts is hidden automatically pending human review. That hiding is decided by a threshold, therefore by automated means, and we would rather say so.

The date of each rating is shown, and it is updated when its author changes it.

You can report a rating from wherever you see it, by picking a reason from a closed list. Your report is recorded straight away.

If your rating is hidden or removed, the app tells you so with the recorded reason when you come back to that car park, and the decision also appears in your data export. You can reply to us at the contact address given in the privacy policy.

If you are responsible for a place shown on the map and you doubt the authenticity of a review about it, you can report it to us free of charge and without an account, at the contact address given in the privacy policy, as provided by Article L111-7-2 of the French Consumer Code. Your report must be reasoned: tell us which review, and why.

Your photos

Once the feature is open, you will be able to attach photographs to a car park, up to five per place. There is no caption field and no other free text. You must be the author of the photograph you send, or hold the right to publish it.

This feature is not open today, and no photograph can be sent or displayed. It will only open after a legal review and once the automatic blurring described below is in service. We prefer to write this down rather than let you believe in a service that does not exist yet.

By sending a photograph, you grant us the non-exclusive, free-of-charge right to keep it, resize it, blur faces and number plates in it, and display it in the app and on the site, worldwide and for the sole purposes of the service. You remain its author. That right ends when the photograph is removed or your account is deleted, and the files are then destroyed. We do not sell it and we transfer it to nobody.

On arrival, every image is decoded and then re-encoded: its metadata disappears with the original file, including the position recorded by your device, which we never read. Faces and number plates are blurred on every image, without exception and with no way to switch it off. The original is never kept. An image that has not gone through this treatment is shown to nobody.

Photographs are not reviewed by a human before publication. After publication, a photograph reported by at least two different accounts is hidden automatically pending human review. You can report a photograph from wherever you see it, choosing a reason from a closed list, which includes copyright infringement and the presence of personal data.

If your photograph is hidden or removed, the app tells you so with the reason retained, and the decision also appears in your data export. You can reply to us at the contact address.

Reporting content

If you believe that content published by the service is unlawful, you can report it to us electronically, free of charge and without an account, at the contact address given in the privacy policy. Tell us where the content is, what you object to, and how to reach you: without those three, we cannot examine it.

Some grounds, such as illegal content or the presence of personal data, can be assessed without a detailed legal examination. In that case a single report is enough to hide the content until we review it. The hiding is temporary, it is logged, and it is lifted if the report was unfounded.

When your report carries an electronic address, we acknowledge receipt, then we write to you with the decision taken and the remedies available to you. A person reads and answers.

Terrorist content

The service accepts no free text, no file and no image. What you can publish is limited to facts about a place, chosen from a closed vocabulary that we write. Spreading terrorist content here is therefore impossible by construction, and that is our first measure against this risk.

If a competent authority sends us a removal order under the European regulation on terrorist content online, we remove the content concerned or disable access to it within the one-hour deadline that regulation sets. Orders are received at the contact address given in the privacy policy, in French and in English.

No specific measure within the meaning of Article 5 of that regulation has been imposed on us to date, and we use no automated detection tool. Were that to change, we would write it here.

Acceptable use

Do not automate the app, do not try to work around its rate limits, do not attempt to extract the data in bulk through its private interfaces. The derived database is offered for download anyway, in full, under a free licence: the door is open, there is no point forcing the window.

The service applies rate limits per device and per account. Exceeding them results in a temporary refusal, never in data being deleted.

Data and privacy

The processing of your data is described in the privacy policy. The origin of the map data and the licence covering it are described on the attribution page.

Liability

The app is an information tool. It replaces neither road signs, nor traffic law, nor your own judgement. We cannot be held liable for a fine, a delay or damage resulting from incomplete or out-of-date information, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law grants you as a consumer.

Changes

These terms carry a version number and a date. A substantial change is published here before it applies.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to the protective rules of the country where you live.
