Allow install from your source
When you open the APK, HyperOS asks you to allow the install for this specific source. Turn on Allow from this source, then go back, the install continues.
Let the security scan run
HyperOS and MIUI scan the file before installing it and may show a warning or a short delay. Let the scan finish, then confirm the install.
Play Protect warns you
Play Protect flags an app as ‘rarely downloaded’ because it does not come from the Play Store. That is expected for a direct download. Tap ‘Install anyway’ to continue.
Updates are not automatic
Outside the store, Android will not update the app on its own. To install a newer version, come back to this page and download the new file. The map tells you when an update is available.
You can remove the source's permission once the install is done.
